The Ministry of External Affairs of India had issued an advisory for its citizens living in Canada, in which it was said, "In view of the ongoing anti-India activities in Canada, the citizens living there or traveling there are advised to be very careful. Be cautious." According to the advisory, in view of the deteriorating security situation in Canada, Indian students present there are advised to be most cautious. Indian community and students can lodge complaints on the websites of the High Commission and Consulates.
Hindu organization writes letter to Trudeau government
Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu had threatened the Hindus living in Canada to leave the country, on which the Hindus living in Canada have written a letter to the Justin Trudeau government and expressed concern over Pannu's statements and appealed to declare it a hate crime. The Hindu organization has written in its letter that Pannu has clearly expressed his views and those of his Khalistani colleagues and they want to target people who do not agree with their ideology. The Canadian government should take this seriously. It has also been asked in the letter whether this statement of Pannu will still be taken as freedom of expression.

Canada's largest newspaper 'Toronto Star' has issued Trudeau's statement saying that the Canadian government does not want to increase tension with India, but India will have to take these issues seriously. Earlier, Trudeau had told MPs – The involvement of a foreign government in killing a citizen on Canadian soil is a violation of the sovereignty of our country. We will put pressure on the Indian government to cooperate in the investigation of this murder. Prime Minister Trudeau said- The large population of Sikhs of Indian origin living in Canada is full of anger over this murder. Many Sikhs are in fear for their safety. There are about 18 lakh citizens of Indian origin in the country, many of whom are Sikhs. Jagmeet Singh, leader of Canada's opposition party New Democratic Party, is from the Sikh community.
Canada's allegations are absurd- India
India has rejected all the allegations made by Canada. Foreign Ministry said, "All allegations of Canada are absurd. Similar allegations were made by the Canadian Prime Minister to our PM Modi and they were completely rejected. Such baseless allegations are an attempt to divert attention from Khalistani terrorists and extremists. They have been given sanctuary in Canada and are a threat to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of India.
