Plenty of job opportunities are coming in the retail sector for those people of the country because big retailers like Reliance Retail, Titan, Trent, Shoppers Stop and Aditya Birla Retail are going to increase the number of their employees. According to experts, the top retailers of the country are going to continue the process of hiring soon this year and this will be seen especially in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities. According to a recent report, retail companies are ready to cash in on the growth expectations of this sector in India. Due to the expectation of high demand in the coming festive season, retailers will need more employees and due to this they will increase the opportunities of hiring and new jobs.
Record hiring in the year 2023
Kumar Rajagopalan, Chief Executive Officer of Retailers Association of India, says that almost all the retailers are seeing growth opportunities in the sectors and they are giving new hiring opportunities because it will also take time to train the employees. According to the report, 20 listed lifestyle and grocery retailers and quick service restaurants have employed around 64,000 employees in the financial year 2023 and increased their workforce. This is an increase of about 73 percent compared to the financial year 2022. Apart from this, the annual report of the major retail companies of the country has come in which it has been told that collectively they have increased their workforce by 14 percent and it has increased to 5,30,000 employees in the financial year 2023. These companies include the names of big companies like the retail arm of Reliance Industries, Avenue Supermart, Shoppers Stop, Jubilant Foodworks, Trent, Aditya Birla Retail and Titan.
Demand increases during festivals
According to industry insiders, retail companies have experienced good demand even during festivals like Rakshabandhan and Onam and on the basis of this it can be said that retailers will be able to take advantage of sharp recovery. Apart from this, due to the expansion plans of retail companies, new employees will be required in shops, malls, showrooms and offices, due to which new job opportunities will be created here.
