Mumbai. Parag Desai, executive director of Gujarat Tea Processors & Packers Ltd., famous for the Wagh Bakri Tea brand, has passed away. He breathed his last at the age of 49 in a private hospital in Ahmedabad. Parag Desai was fatally attacked by stray dogs on October 15. His head was seriously injured in this. After that he was admitted to the hospital. However, he died during the treatment. According to the reports, Desai had gone for a morning walk on ISKCON Ambli Road near his home in Ahmedabad when he was attacked by stray dogs. His head was seriously injured in this attack. Due to which the doctor informed that he had a brain haemorrhage. He was admitted to a hospital in Ahmedabad for treatment. After that, his condition worsened and he was shifted to another hospital for treatment.
He took his last breath in the hospital
According to Desai's family sources, Parag Desai suffered a head injury. After that he was admitted to the hospital and an immediate surgery was performed on him. After that he was put on ventilator. His condition was critical due to severe head injury. After that, he breathed his last on Sunday as his health worsened. He was kept on ventilator for seven days before his death. Parag Desai was working as an Executive Director in Gujarat Tea Processors and Packers Limited. Parag completed his MBA from Long Island University in New York, USA. He was the fourth generation in the Wagh Bakri Tea business. He took the brand to greater heights by playing a pivotal role in the sales, distribution and export of the tea. Parag Desai was fond of wildlife and travelling.
