Mumbai. Asia's richest businessman Mukesh Ambani's company Reliance Industries currently has the highest debt across the galaxy of companies in India. Surprisingly, the name of Adani company is not in this list. Tata's company is famous, but its debt is much less than Reliance. There is a lot of talk about Vodafone Idea's debt, but it is very less compared to Reliance. Airtel and L&T are also named in this list. However, all these companies are far below Mukesh Ambani's Reliance. Let's also know the amount of debt on which company of the country including Reliance. In 2020, Mukesh Ambani announced that Reliance Industries had become a debt-free company. At that time, the country was facing the Covid-19 pandemic. Mukesh Ambani was raising funds from the world's biggest companies by selling the equity of his companies.
Reliance has a debt of Rs 3.13 lakh crore
As per the latest figures, Reliance has become the largest lender in the country. According to data from Ace Equity, the country's largest borrower is Reliance Industries which has a debt of Rs 3.13 lakh crore. NTPC's name is included among the major energy sector companies of the country. The company ranks second in terms of debtors. The company has a debt of Rs 2.20 lakh crore. There is a lot of talk about Vodafone Idea's loan. Now the government also has a stake in this company. Currently, the company has a debt of Rs 2.01 lakh crore. Bharti Airtel is also not the least indebted in the country. The company is also saddled with heavy debt and the company has a debt of Rs 1.65 lakh crore.
Oli companies too have debts
The name of Indian Oil Corporation, the country's largest oil company, is also in this list. Currently, the company has a debt of Rs 1.40 lakh crore. Oil and natural gas debt is no less and this company has a debt of Rs 1.29 lakh crore. After NTPC, the second company in this list is Power Grid Corporation. Currently, the company has a debt of Rs 1.26 lakh crore. Tata Motors has a debt of Rs 1.25 lakh crore. Larsen & Toubro, a company that played an important role in the Chandrayaan mission, is no less a debtor. The company currently has a debt of Rs 1.18 lakh crore. Grasim Industries is the last company in the list with a debt of over Rs 1 lakh crore. Currently, the company has a debt of Rs 1.01 lakh crore.
