Mumbai. One of the leading companies in the IT sector Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has taken a big decision by sending transfer notices to more than 2000 of their employees at many places. According to the notice, these employees will have to join within 15 days. Disciplinary action will be taken if the employees do not reach the joining place by the given date, the company has said. In an email sent by TCS to the employees, it has been informed that the company will bear the travel and accommodation expenses. According to information, more than 180 employees have approached the union and expressed their displeasure over the sudden email sent by the company. The employees claimed that the company took such a decision without any proper information and consultation and because of this hurried decision, they and their families are facing difficulties.
Big inconvenience to the employees
The IT union has filed a complaint against TCS with the Ministry of Labor and Employment following a complaint by the employees. NITES president Harpreet Singh Saluja said that this sudden decision has caused great inconvenience to the employees and it would cause many other problems. Meanwhile, more than 180 employees of TCS have approached NITES in this regard and expressed their displeasure over the email sent by the company.
IT union deplores the decision
According to the IT union president, TCS company is ignoring the family problems, troubles, stress and worries of the employees. The company is violating the rights of the employees by putting them in dire straits. Union has said that the ministry has been requested to take appropriate action. It is noteworthy that the condition of the IT sector has not been very good for some time now. Thousands of employees have lost their jobs. IT majors, TCS, Infosys and Wipro have laid off large numbers of employees. TCS's attrition rate for the quarter ended December 2022 was 21.3 percent.
