Mumbai. In a bid to target a larger vote bank, i.e. younger generation of the country between 15 to 29 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the "My Youth Bharat" portal on the lines of "National Youth Policy". This policy has been designed keeping in mind the global scenario to face new challenges and inspire the youth and aims to inspire them to become active and committed participants in the work of national development. At present, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) and Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Yojana are being implemented for the youth at the Modi-led Central Government level. Apart from this, schemes like Skill India Digital Platform, National Apprenticeship Scheme have been launched targeting the youth. Apart from this, the Central Government keeps organizing job fairs in every corner of the country to give job offer letters to the youth across the country and the Prime Minister himself along with his cabinet members or MPs and MLAs keep distributing certificates to the youth who get the jobs.
My Youth Bharat portal
On this portal, any youth of the country whose age is between 15 to 29 years can register themselves and get involved in nation building and its activities. Along with this they can also develop their professional skills. Apart from this, information about the possibilities of youth leadership and community participation can be obtained through MY Bharat Portal. This portal is a unique effort to integrate youth power in building India.

Prime Minister Modi described this initiative, launched in the form of a portal, as a witness to the "Maha Yagya" of the path of duty of the youth and said that the "My Bharat" portal will give the youth of the country an opportunity to play a role in nation building programs. According to the 2022 revision, the total population of India was 1,407,563,842, in which more than 50% of India's population was below 25 years of age and more than 65% of its population was below 35 years of age. According to the data of this report of UNFPA, India has become the largest youth country in the world with 25.4 crore youth population in the age group of 15 to 20. More than 27% of the people in the country are in the age group of 15-29 years.

Recently, India has overtaken China to become the most populous country in terms of population. Now the United Nations predicts that India's population may continue to grow for the next three decades and after that it will start declining. According to the World Population Forecast-2022, India's population may reach 166.8 crore by 2050, while China's population may decrease to 131.7 crore. According to UN analysis, the youth population is more in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. UNFPA has given the mantra to see India's 1.4 billion population as 1.4 billion opportunities. In this respect, the intention of the Modi government behind launching the portal is clearly visible.
