This food delivery app Zomato has made a funny tweet. It tweeted that after RBI's announcement, 72 percent of COD orders are now being paid with Rs 2,000 notes. That is, besides ordering food, people are also exchanging 2000 rupee notes with this amazing trick.
Zomato to launch its own UPI
According to media reports, Zomato is launching UPI service, which will make it easier for users to make payments. The purpose of launching UPI is to make online payments easier for consumers. Till now, people pay for Zomato orders through Google Pay, PayTm and other UPI apps. After ordering a parcel from Zomato, they have to switch to other apps to pay for it. That's why Zomato is rolling out its own UPI network to simplify the process for consumers, so that people can make payments right from the app. For Zomato UPI, users need to create a new UPI ID by entering the bank details and pay from the Zomato app itself. Currently Zomato UPI is not available for all users and only for select people. Soon the company may bring UPI facility to all.
Zomato UPI service launched
Recently Zomato launched UPI service. The main objective of the company behind starting this service is to provide a better online payment facility to the people. This UPI service will make it very easy for customers to make payments through the Zomato app. But for this, customers will have to create a new UPI ID card after saving any bank account. Also, people who are currently using UPI platforms like Paytm, PhonePe and Google Pay to make payments will not need to be redirected to it.
