Twitter to remove Blue Tick from April 1, Companies to pay 82k/month for Golden Tick

Twitter has said that it would begin 'phasing out' its legacy verification program from April 1. Under this, the company will start removing blue ticks from users' accounts. Its effect will be directly on the pocket of the user. Although users with free blue tick pay money and take the service of Twitter Blue, then their blue tick will remain, but the tag of legally verified will be removed. Twitter announced the verification program on Friday to increase revenue. The company's CEO Elon Musk had confirmed that the account of anyone affiliated with the verified organization would be automatically verified.

Now all Twitter accounts will be verified

Twitter has started a new Verified Organization program, under which all Twitter accounts will now be verified. Since Twitter has millions of subscribers, companies can join the waiting list to get the golden tick. Twitter Business announced the verification program for companies in January. In a tweet from Twitter Business, it said, "We will soon launch Verification for Companies, formerly known as Blue for Business. As a customer, you and your business will be able to register on our self-serve administrative portal."

Twitter launched its updated account verification program in January and then all verified accounts were divided into three color categories. These categories include giving gold checks to companies, gray checks to the government and blue ticks to common citizens.
