According to the information given by the Income Tax Department, Akshay Kumar was the biggest taxpayer of India during the last year i.e. during the financial year 2021-22. Film actor Akshay Kumar had deposited income tax of Rs 29.5 crore in 2022. He had declared his year's earnings as Rs 486 crore. Filmstar is number-1 in India in terms of filing Individual Income Tax and has been number-1 in paying income tax even before 2022. In the year 2021 i.e. for the financial year 2020-21, he had deposited income tax of Rs 25.5 crore. He was also the country's largest individual income taxpayer that year. For that Akshay Kumar was given the 'Samman Patra' award.
