Mumbai. To get back the money of the investors trapped in the schemes of Sahara, the government has started Sahara Portal. Home Minister Amit Shah launched the Sahara portal and minutes after it was launched, 7 lakh registrations were done on this portal. So far Rs 158 lakh has been applied by Sahara investors. The money of the people of only four societies will be returned through this portal launched by the government. After 45 days of the application, the government will deposit the money in the applicant's account. Through this portal, the government will refund a total of Rs 5000 crore to 10 crore people of Sahara. At present only a maximum of Rs 10000 will be refunded to each depositor. This is being done only as a trial. As soon as the trial is successful, the remaining money will be returned to the investors along with interest. To get back the money stuck in Sahara, someone has to register. There is no need to run anywhere as applicant.can also apply online sitting at home. He must have a mobile number linked to Aadhaar and an account number linked to Aadhaar.

Money will be transferred to people's accounts within 45 days of registration. So far more than 7 lakh registrations have been done for this refund. Out of which only 2 lakh 84 thousand depositors have done Aadhaar verification. While 18,442 have uploaded the receipt of payment made to Sahara Sahakari Societies. Those who have verified after submitting all the details are entitled to get their money stuck in Sahara. If your money is also stuck in Sahara and you have not yet applied through the refund portal, do so immediately without delay. Without registration, you will not be able to withdraw your money stuck in the Sahara scheme. In such a situation, you will have to register first to get the refund.
Noteworthy to mention, lakhs of People whose money is stuck in Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Saharayn Universal Multipurpose Society Limited, Hamara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited and Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited will get full refund along with interest, but in the first phase, the government will give people as a trial.
