Mumbai. The budget session of the year 2023 will start from 31 January i.e. tomorrow Tuesday. The budget session will begin on January 31 itself with the President's address. Tomorrow itself, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Economic Survey on behalf of the government on the floor of Parliament. The Finance Minister will present the economic survey of the country in the Parliament. What has been done by the central government for the country's economy in the current financial year, it will come to the fore.
Annual document of the Ministry of Finance
Economic Survey is the main annual document of the Ministry of Finance as well as it is an account of the country's economic development. On the basis of this, it is seen how the country's economy has been in the last one year. It is through this survey that an assessment is made that where there has been a loss and where there has been an advantage. Economic Survey 2023 will highlight the state of the economy in the current financial year 2022-23. The flagship report is prepared by the Economics Division of the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) under the guidance of the Chief Economic Advisor (CEA).
Presented before the budget
The Economic Survey is always presented just before the budget. On the basis of this, it is decided what kind of possibilities will be seen in the economy in the coming year. Apart from this, suggestions are also given to the government on this basis. The Economic Survey is prepared by the Economics Division of Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Finance. It is prepared under the supervision of the Chief Economic Adviser. It is released only after the approval of the Finance Minister. The Finance Minister presents the Economic Survey on the table of both the Houses of the Parliament. After which the Chief Economic Advisor presents the details of the current financial year. The Economic Survey plays a major role in the preparation of the budget. The suggestions of the Chief Economic Adviser are included in the budget.
