Alphabet Inc, the parent company of the world's largest search engine Google, is preparing to lay off 12,000 employees. According to reports, the company's CEO Sundar Pichai has apologized taking full responsibility for the retrenchment. Google and Microsoft are investing on some software known as Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI).
