Mumbai. Elon Musk, the richest person in the world, has given the important responsibility of the Tesla company to a person of Indian origin. Musk has appointed Indian-origin Vaibhav Taneja as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of car maker Tesla. Taneja has completed his education from Delhi University. A few days ago, Tesla's first office in India was opened in Pune. After that, giving the responsibility of the CFO post to a person of Indian origin is considered to be an important step of Elon Musk in terms of the Indian market. Vaibhav Taneja (45) completed his graduation from Delhi University and then joined Tesla company after acquiring SolarCity in 2016. In addition to his primary responsibilities as chief accounting officer, he has played a significant role as 'master of coin' at the company, Tesla said.

Tesla working fast to set up base in India

Tesla CFO Zachary Kirkhorn has stepped down after four years as CFO. Now Vaibhav Taneja of Indian origin will take his place who is currently the Chief Accounting Officer at Tesla. He has now been given the additional responsibility of the post of CFO. On the one hand, Tesla is working fast on plans to set up its base in India. Tesla has appointed Indian-origin Vaibhav Taneja as its new CFO. Meanwhile, the Tesla company has not given any reason for this change. But Kirkhorn is expected to stay on as CFO until the end of this year to keep things running smoothly. "Being a part of this company has been a special experience and I am very proud of the work I have done since joining the company 13 years ago," Kirkhorn said in his LinkedIn post.
