Mumbai. Eight months after US-based research firm Hindenburg firm published a report claiming alleged scam in Adani Group, another report is rumoured to chip in India that could potentially shake the Indian stock market. Eight months after the Hindenburg effect is still being felt, there are whispers that a report on some of the country's corporate houses is about to be published. Discussions are going on that some corporate sector transactions will come up in this. According to sources, an NGO called the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) has been informed that it is preparing to do a major exposé on some corporate houses in India. Sources said that there was talk of involvement of foreign funds in investing in the shares of the concerned corporate houses in this exposé.
The allegations against the Adani group came after a report by American financial research and investment firm Hindenburg. After that, the new report is expected not to shock the Indian corporate sector, the capital market. Three sources familiar with the matter said OCCRP, which claims to be a forum for investigative journalism, may publish a report or news series on Indian business families. OCCRP was asked some questions via e-mail. However, no reply was received from them.
