Mumbai. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the tricolor flag on the ramparts of the Red Fort on the occasion of Independence Day on 15 August and addressed the nation. In his address, he listed the achievements of his government and also presented the roadmap for the future. Meanwhile, PM Modi also promised to start a new scheme 'Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana' in the country in the coming days. This scheme will be launched from the upcoming Vishwakarma Jayanti.

What did the PM say?

The Prime Minister said that the budget of this scheme will be 13 to 15 thousand crore rupees. The government will help people with traditional skills through this scheme. People like goldsmiths, blacksmiths, barbers and tanners will be benefited in this. The purpose of this scheme is to benefit such people, who do some skilled work by hand and have been doing this work for generations. Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana will benefit a large section of the society. Carpenters, sculptors, blacksmiths, masons and other artisans doing such work will be helped by this scheme to do their work and develop their skills. Provisions have also been made in this scheme to provide a wide market to these artisans for their products.

What is Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana?

Under the Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana, the government will not only provide financial assistance, but will also take steps for skill development and making modern technology and tools accessible to a common artisan. The objective of this scheme is to provide loans easily, enhance skills and make digital empowerment. PM Modi said from the ramparts of the Red Fort that the government will provide institutional support to every Vishwakarma of the country.

Make two crore Didis millionaires in the villages

In addition to the Vishwakarma scheme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to the nation also informed about the government's consideration of another new scheme. He said, 'My dream is to make two crore didis (sisters) millionaires in the village. That's why we are thinking of a new plan. Will bring technology in the agriculture field. We will train them to provide the service of drones. The country is developing in every field. The country is moving towards modernity and all round development.
