Mumbai. The Confederation of All India Traders (CAT) is making massive efforts across the country to celebrate 'Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan' very enthusiastically across the country. Traders body expects to sell about 35 crore tricolor flags across the country this year to observe this campaign. From this, a business of about Rs 600 crore is estimated. Last year this sale was around Rs 500 crore. CAT has made a strong appeal to all the businessmen of the country that they must put up the national flag at their shops and homes from 13th to 15th August and also distribute tricolor flags to their employees. CAT said that this campaign related to patriotism and self-employment has created a wonderful feeling of patriotism among the people across the country and has opened up huge possibilities of co-operative business.

Employment to more than 10 lakh people

Bhartia and Khandelwal have said that from August 13 to August 15, under the flag of CAT, the country's business organizations will organize more than 4000 tricolor programs across the country. There will be programs like Tiranga Rallies, Tiranga March, Tiranga Gaurav Yatra and Swaraj March. Due to this campaign, more than 10 lakh people are expected to get employment across the country.

Demand to declare Swaraj year

National President of CAT B. C. Bhartia and National General Secretary Praveen Khandelwal have appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to declare the period from 15 August to 15 August 2024 as “Swaraj Varsh” in view of the dedication and enthusiasm of the people towards the tricolor. Along with this, he has said that further strengthening the approach of "Self-reliant India" and "Vocal on Local" and sale of high quality goods and services to the country's business and medium industry will position India as a unique nation on the global scene.
