Recently 'Deepika Universal Consumer Ventures' has launched a skin care brand named 82°E (Eighty Two East). The company claims that unique skin care products will be launched under this brand with the help of Ayurveda and science. Deepika, on the other hand, is running the brand like a startup, which has raised $7.5 million in funding from DSG Consumer Partners, IDO Ventures and KA Enterprises.
Strategic investment company
Deepka Padukone has formed a strategic investment company KA Enterprises LLP, which has invested in different companies and startups. This company, formed in the year 2014, handles the family business of Deepika Padukone, and works like a venture capital firm. Not only this, Deepika started becoming an entrepreneur in 2021 with DPKA Universal Consumer Ventures. This company currently focuses on beauty products.
Investment has a wide range of diversification
Deepika Padukone has invested in many brands and startups since 2014. Her initial investment in most of the companies has been between Rs 3 to 5 crore. Her portfolio includes yogurt maker Epigamia and she is also its brand ambassador. At the same time, she also has investments in Bluesmart, which provides electric cab service, Furlenco, which provides furniture rental, Bellatrix, which works in space technology, Atomberg Technologies, which manufactures smart fans, and Mocobra, which manufactures bag packing materials. Deepika's investment list also includes companies like Front Row, Supertels and Nua. There is also an Epigamia-like situation with Nua, where Deepika is the investor as well as the brand ambassador.
Papa handles her business
Deepika Padukone's new company 'Deepika Universal Consumer Ventures' includes her father and country's well-known badminton player Prakash Padukone as director. At the same time, her co-founder in this work is Jigar Shah, who has been a venture capitalist by profession. From 2020, KA Enterprises is managing all kinds of assets and funds of Deepika.
