Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries and Asia’s richest individual, has donated ₹151 crore to the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai- the very college where he pursued his graduation in the 1970s. The contribution was announced during a special event at ICT on June 6, which was held to launch the biography of renowned professor MM Sharma, titled *Divine Scientist*.

At the event, Ambani recalled his academic years and expressed deep gratitude to his mentors. “Professors MM Sharma and JB Joshi were my teachers. In other cultures, a teacher is just an instructor, but in Indian tradition, a guru is revered as Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshwar,” Ambani said, emphasizing the spiritual stature of teachers in Indian society.
