Mumbai. Bajaj Housing Finance Limited (BHFL) broke all records on the first day of listing in the stock market on Monday and emerged as the country's largest housing finance company. The company's shares had a great start, giving huge profits to the investors. The issue price was Rs 70, but on the very first day in the market, its shares rose by about 136% and closed at Rs 165. Due to this rise in shares, the market cap of Bajaj Housing Finance reached Rs 1,37,406.09 crore, making it the country's largest housing finance company. This historic listing of the company created a stir in the market and proved to be a new milestone in the Indian housing finance sector.

IPO had a great performance
Bajaj Housing Finance's IPO also received a great response from the market. The Rs 6,560 crore IPO received 63.60 times subscription on the last day of bidding on September 11. The price band for the issue was kept at Rs 66-70 per share. The company's listing on the stock market was done under the rules of the Reserve Bank of India, which mandates listing by September 2025 for leading non-banking financial companies. Bajaj Housing Finance provides finance for the purchase and renovation of housing and commercial properties across the country, and has now strengthened its hold in this sector by becoming the country's largest housing finance company.
