Bank account must be pre-validated
Get the bank account pre-validated (already verified) in the bank account in which the income tax refund is to be received. After filing Income Tax Return (ITR), if any refund is made to you, then it is available to you through the Centralized Processing Center (CPC) of the Income Tax Department. For this, it is important that your bank account is pre-validated so that you do not get delayed in getting your refund.
Income Tax Department not responding to emails
According to experts, refunds can also get stuck due to non-reply to the e-mail sent by the Income Tax Department. In the e-mail sent by the Income Tax Department, information is sought from the taxpayers regarding their outstanding demand, any discrepancy in their bank account and refund. Your refund may get stuck even if you do not provide this information at the right time.
