According to a survey, a large number of customers have made purchase plans during this festival. On the other hand, the industry is also preparing for big offers, in such a situation, companies are expected to earn a lot in the festive season. According to this survey, more than half the urban population is planning to shop during the festive season, while more than a third of the urban people are relying on online shopping.
58% urbanites planning to shop on Diwali
With the onset of the festive season, 58 per cent of urbanites are planning to shop on Diwali while 39 per cent are planning to shop online. This possibility has been expressed in a survey. Six out of every 10 people surveyed are planning some kind of purchase on the occasion of Diwali. The survey also shows that the preparation for shopping during the festive season is much higher among men than women. 62 percent of the male participants surveyed expressed the possibility of shopping on Diwali, while the ratio for women is 55 percent.
Online shopping will also be in demand
However, the impact of the increasing trend of online shopping has also been seen in this survey. According to this, two out of every five people are planning to buy during the festive season on big festive offers brought by e-commerce companies. According to the survey, the wedding season will begin soon after the festive season with almost every third person looking to shop.
Big spending on advertising
Companies have also geared up to take advantage of the rising demand during festivals and this year many companies have come up with strong offers. Electronics brand Haier is going to spend 100 crores on advertising and promotion this festive season, while appliance industry market leader LG India is increasing the festive spend by 20-25% compared to last year. Companies are offering huge drop in prices and cashback. For example, Bosch and Siemens will offer an upgrade offer for the consumer. Whereas Realme said that it will give discounts of up to Rs 10,000 and Rs 12,000 on the smartphone.
