The world's richest man and Tesla owner Elon Musk finally finalized the Twitter deal and immediately fired Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Parag Agarwal, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ned Segal and Legal Affairs and Policy Chief Vijaya Gadde from the company. According to reports, Twitter will spend a total of $ 100 million, or Rs 823 crore, as payouts to these three officials. Of these, Parag Aggarwal will get the highest $ 50 million i.e. about Rs 412 crore. At the same time, the company will give $ 37 million (Rs 304 crore) to Ned Segal and $ 17 million to Vijaya Gadde (about Rs 140 crore).
Parag Agarwal became CEO in November 2021
Parag Agarwal was made the CEO of the company after the resignation of Jack Dorsey in November last year. Parag was Twitter's Chief Technology Officer before becoming CEO in November. In the year 2021, he got $304 million in the form of salary and other allowances. Aggarwal's salary as CEO was reported to be $1 million annually. On October 27, Elon Musk also changed the bio of his Twitter handle earlier. He wrote 'Chief twit' in the bio. After this the Twitter headquarters arrived with the sink.
Employees may be laid off
According to reports, Musk can lay off 75% of the company's 7,500 employees, or about 5,600 employees. He had said this to potential investors during the Twitter deal. However, after this report came, Twitter's General Counsel Sean Edget denied it. By sending an email to the employees, he said that the company is not making any plans for layoffs.
