Airtel service in 8 cities including Delhi-Mumbai from today, Jio will give 5G nationwide next year

Mumbai. 1st October became the landmark day in the country's history as 5G mobile services started from this day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched 5G services at the Indian Mobile Congress. With the advent of 5G, the internet speed will increase by about 10 times compared to 4G. The sixth edition of the Indian Mobile Congress, the biggest event of the telecom industry, has started at Pragati Maidan in Delhi from today. To showcase the potential of 5G technology in India, the country's three major telecom operators Jio, Airtel and Vodafone Idea presented a use case demonstration each to the Prime Minister. This event will last for 4 days. Airtel Chairman Sunil Mittal announced the launch of 5G in 8 cities. These include Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Siliguri. Airtel plans to roll out 5G service across the country by March 2024.
Jio's 5G service starts from 4 cities
Reliance had told in its AGM in the past that it will start 5G service in 4 cities- Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai till Diwali. At the same time, Mukesh Ambani said in the Indian Mobile Congress today that 5G service will reach every corner of the country by December 2023 through Jio. Mukesh Ambani said that the rollout of 5G is not an ordinary event in India's telecom history. The country may have started off a bit late, but we will be rolling out higher quality and more affordable 5G services than the world.
