Meanwhile, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk has dashed off an open letter to Twitter Inc's new owner Elon Musk urging him to ensure that human rights remain a core value to Twitter's management. UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk said that 'In short, I urge you to ensure that human rights are central to the management of Twitter under your leadership'.

Twitter's only focus to increase revenue

Since his $44bn takeover last week, Musk has dissolved the company’s board, sacked its CEO, Parag Agrawal, along with senior managers, and began mass layoffs on Friday.
