Mumbai. India's second richest man and owner of Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani may soon buy the English Premier League's legendary football team. According to a report, Mukesh Ambani is involved in the race to buy Liverpool Football Club as Fenway Sports Group (FSG), which owns Liverpool FC, has started preparing to sell the club. FSG has set a price of 4 billion pounds i.e. 38 thousand crore rupees to sell Liverpool FC. If few reports are to be believed Ambani has shown great level of interest to buy it.

Ambani's net worth is Rs 7.6 lakh crore and he also has a lot of interest in sports. By that count, they would easily pay that much to buy a football club. It is being said that to acquire England's popular football team Liverpool, Ambani will have to win this race from other investors in the Middle East and the US. Notably, Ambani had earlier tried to buy Liverpool in 2010 along with Sahara India chairman Subrata Roy, but it didn't work. Fenway Sports Group then took over the club, Liverpool. According to the report, investment banking firm Goldman Sachs and financial services firm Morgan Stanley have now been hired to help sell the football team.
