Mumbai. India's second largest software firm Infosys has re-appointed Salil Parekh as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) from July 1, 2022 to July 31, 2027. Parekh has been working in the company as CEO and MD since the year 2018. Prior to this, Parekh was a member of the Group Executive Board at Capgemini. Here he worked in several positions for 25 years. Parekh has over 30 years of experience in the IT sector.
Employee stock ownership also given
Apart from this, the company's board has approved 1,04,000 shares under the company's ESOP to the top six members of the company's management team. Apart from this, 88 other senior executives have also been approved to issue 3,75,760 shares under Employee Stock Ownership (ESOP). The company has taken this step as a way of trying to retain its qualified employees in the company. In fact, the IT industry is already witnessing a huge turmoil which has led to an increase in the attrition rate of companies in the recent quarters.
