Mumbai. People of the country got a double shock today. After the price hike of diesel, the prices of domestic LPG cylinders (LPG) have been increased after about five months. Government oil companies released new rates of LPG cylinders on Tuesday, in which there has been an increase of Rs 50 all over the country. It is worth noting that in view of the assembly elections being held in five states including UP, the companies had not increased the prices of LPG for almost five months. Earlier, on October 6, 2021, the last change in LPG prices was done. After the elections, the companies have once again decided to increase the LPG prices.
Decision taken after rising crude oil prices
Government oil companies had not made any change in the prices of LPG cylinders for the last five months. During this, the prices of crude continued to rise. Crude is still getting above $100 per barrel in the global market. To reduce this pressure, companies have increased the price of LPG by Rs 50. Since March 2021, LPG prices have increased by Rs 81.

Oil companies have not only increased the prices of domestic gas cylinders, but have also increased the prices of 5 kg and 10 kg cylinders. Now a 5 kg LPG cylinder will be available for Rs 349 and 10 kg for Rs 669. Not only this, the price of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has also reached Rs 2,003.50.
