Mumbai. In the Russia-Ukraine war, there might just be positive news for India. According to a report by Reuters, two Indian officials have said that Delhi might accept crude oil at cheaper prices from Moscow as a key trading partner. This statement has come out in the backdrop of rising sanctions being imposed by western countries on Russia. The White House said that India's acceptance of Russia's cheap crude oil will not violate US sanctions. However, he said that India should keep in mind that when history is written, where India will be seen standing. Speaking to reporters at Tuesday's daily news conference, White House press secretary Jane Pasaki said, "Our message is clear that every country is bound by the sanctions that we have imposed."
Support to Russia means support to destruction
To a question on whether India is likely to take cheaper crude oil from Russia, Pasaki said, "I don't think it would violate sanctions. But it should also be considered that when the history of the present era is written, where will you be seen standing. Support to Russia's leadership for an attack means support to its disastrous effect."
India dependent on Russian military supplies
