Mumbai. The hearing on the fraud case registered against Anil Ambani and his wife Tina Ambani was held in the Allahabad High Court on Wednesday. The High Court stayed the investigation of the FIR saying that the matter is very serious. Its opposition parties should file their reply. The High Court has sought a reply from the state government and all the opposition including Anil Ambani in 3 weeks.
Notice to SEBI Chairman
In this case, notices have also been issued to SEBI Chairman, Mumbai and Director of Financial Intelligence Unit, Delhi. The court gave this notice on the complaint of petitioner Pawan Kumar. He had complained that the police was threatening. In the petition, there has been a demand for a CBI inquiry into the FIR registered in connection with the scam and assaulting the petitioner.
Now the hearing of the petition will take place on July 25. The petition of independent journalist Pawan Kumar was heard by a division bench of Justice Sunit Kumar and Justice Gautam Chaudhary.
FIR was registered on 16th May
This FIR was registered on 16 May at Jahangirabad police station on the complaint of a person named Pawan Kumar. The police had registered the case on the of ACJM Bulandshahr. Pawan Kumar is a freelance journalist. He has also filed the petition.
Fraud 10 times bigger than Vijay Mallya
Pawan Kumar says that there has been a serious fraud 10 times bigger than Vijay Mallya. SEBI has investigated and declared Reliance Home Finance Company as a fraud. It has been accused of misappropriating the money of 514 crore banks and 570 crore creditors. The petitioner says that the local police cannot do proper investigation. So the case should be transferred to the CBI. The ED i.e. The Enforcement Directorate has also been made a party in the petition.
