Mumbai. Mahindra Group CEO Anand Mahindra has expressed his anguish in a tweet saying that he was saddened by the violence over the Agneepath scheme. He said that When the scheme was considered last year, he had said that the discipline and skill acquired by Agniveers would make them eminently employable. He has now said that Mahindra will give a chance to Agniveers in his company.

Huge employment opportunities

A person asked on his tweet which post will be given to the Agniveers. On this, he said that there is immense scope for employment of Agniveers in the corporate sector. With leadership, teamwork and physical training, Agniveer will provide market ready solutions to the industry. It covers the entire spectrum from operations to administration and supply chain management.

Protests in many states

The Agneepath plan of the army is being opposed in many states. Many organizations have called for Bharat Bandh on Monday. In view of this, Railways has put RPF and GRP on alert mode. Along with this, orders have been given to register a case against the miscreants under serious sections.

Four year defense force

The Central Government on June 14 announced the launch of the Agneepath Recruitment Scheme to recruit a large number of youth in the three branches of the Army – Army, Navy and Air Force. Under this scheme, the youth will have to serve in the Defense Force for only 4 years. The government has taken this step to reduce the budget of salary and pension.

1. Ahat is this Agneepath scheme?

Agneepath Scheme is a nationwide short-term youth recruitment scheme for the Armed Forces. The youth recruited under this scheme will be called Agniveer. Agniveers will be deployed in various places including desert, mountain, land, sea or air.

2. What will be the rank of Agniveers?

In this new scheme, soldiers below the rank of officer will be recruited and their rank will be as Personnel Below Officer Rank i.e. PBOR. The rank of these soldiers will be different from the commissioned officer and non-commissioned officer appointments in the army now.

3. How many times will Agniveer be recruited in a year?

Under this scheme, recruitment will be done twice a year through rally.

4. How many soldiers will be recruited this year?

This year, 46 thousand Agniveers will be recruited, but during this period there will be no army recruitment of this level in all the three parts of the army.

5. What is the age limit for Agniveers?

To become Agniveer, it is necessary to be between 17.5 years to 23 years.

6. What is the educational qualification to be Agniveer?

To become Agniveer, it is necessary to have at least 10th pass.
