Mumbai. During the Corona epidemic, people have changed jobs fiercely in every sector and this phase may continue even further. According to The Great Resignation Survey 2022, 4 out of 10 employees want to resign from their current company after a salary hike. The highest number of employees doing this are from three sectors. Service sector (37%), manufacturing sector (31%) and IT sector (27%).
Low salary increment is big reason
More than 500 organizations from different sectors were included in the survey. The reasons for resigning from the job are slow salary increment (54.8%), work-life imbalance (41.4%), lack of advancement opportunities (33.3%) and lack of proper job response (28.1%).
Starting their own business
The survey found that 1 in 10 employees are considering leaving their job to start their own business. 35% of employees in the age group of 30-45 years want to become entrepreneurs. 44% of employees in the age group of 20-29 years are currently not thinking of resigning but want to start their own business.
Want more than 40% increment
Every third employee surveyed wants an increment of 40% and above. In the past few years, many employees are disappointed with the slow salary growth.
