Mumbai. The market capitalization of 3 of the top 10 companies listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange declined by Rs 73,630.56 crore last week with Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) suffering the most. Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) remained at number two and ICICI Bank at number three. If we talk about growing companies, these are TCS, HDFC Bank, Infosys, LIC, SBI, HDFC and Bharti Airtel.
RIL declined by Rs 62K Cr
The market capitalization of Reliance Industries declined by Rs 62,100.95 crore to Rs 16,29,684.50 crore. The valuation of ICICI Bank declined by Rs 6,654.2 crore to Rs 4,89,700.16 crore and that of Hindustan Unilever Ltd declined by Rs 4,875.41 crore to Rs 5,36,364.69 crore. Last week, the Sensex rose 179.95 points or 0.34%, while the Nifty gained 52.80 points or 0.33 per cent.
Infosys Tops Market Cap Gainers
Among gainers, the market capitalization of Infosys rose by Rs 15,172.88 crore to Rs 6,21,907.38 crore. Market cap of State Bank of India increased by Rs 11,200.38 crore to Rs 4,16,690.11 crore, LIC's increased by Rs 9,519.12 crore to Rs 4,28,044.22 crore and TCS by Rs 8,489 crore to Rs 12,13,396.32 crore. HDFC's market cap rose by Rs 3,924.46 crore to Rs 4,01,114.96 crore.
Market Cap of 7 companies up by 50K Cr
Bharti Airtel's m-cap rose by Rs 1,043.49 crore to Rs 3,69,833.12 crore and that of HDFC Bank by Rs 91.72 crore to 7,51,892.03 crore. The total market cap of these 7 companies has increased by Rs 49,441.05 crore. The point to be noted here is that the profit of 7 companies was much less than the loss of 3 companies.
RIL at number one among top-10 firms
In the ranking of top-10 firms, Reliance Industries retained its top position, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Infosys, HUL, ICICI Bank, LIC, SBI, HDFC and Bharti Airtel.
