Mumbai. Adani Group has got the license for the entire management of the International Airport in Guwahati, the capital of Assam. An official statement said on Saturday that Adani Group has been given an aerodrome license from DGCA for the entire management of Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport. The license has been given in the name of Guwahati International Airport Limited, a unit of Adani Group, which operates this airport. Guwahati International Airport Limited said in a statement on Friday that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had given the license on Friday. It said that the airdome license has been given to ensure the complete management, operation and development of the Popular Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport as per the concession agreement.

The statement further said that the license certifies the use of the aerodrome as a public airport of the country. Utpal Baruah, Chief Airport Officer of LGBI Airport received the license from Arun Kumar, Director General, DGCA, Government of India in Delhi. Till now Guwahati International Airport Limited was operating the LGBI airport with the license of AAI as its operator. Adani Group took over the management, operation and development of Guwahati Airport on 8 October 2021.
