Mumbai. After joining the $100 billion club, Gautam Adani, the founder and chairman of the Adani Group, has moved up to number 6 on Bloomberg's list of top-10 billionaires across the world. Adani is the only Indian in the top-10 list whose net worth shot up by $ 8.57 billion or about Rs 65,091 crore owing to the rise in the share prices of Adani Group on Monday. Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, is at number 11. Only Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bernard Arnault, Bill Gates and Warren Buffett are ahead of Adani.
Adani surpasses Google's founder
According to Bloomberg data, Gautam Adani's net worth is $ 118 billion (about 8.9 lakh crore rupees) while Mukesh Ambani's net worth is $ 97.4 billion (about 7.4 lakh crore rupees). Adani has overtaken Google's holding company Alphabet's founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin to reach the 6th position. The net worth of Larry Page is $ 116 billion (about Rs 8.8 lakh crore) and the net worth of Sergey Brin is $ 111 billion (about Rs 8.4 lakh crore).
